Refugee Systems of Care Coordinator

Elijah Wickline (he/him) is the Refugee Systems of Care Coordinator for the Center for Quality Family Support. In this role, Elijah provides critical supports to the home visiting system in Michigan to better meet the needs of unique refugee populations in the state and inform the development of the Refugee Systems of Care project. Elijah is enthusiastic about supporting the journeys of the most vulnerable through his work by fostering authentic relationships and adapting services to meet the needs of displaced populations. He has led several projects serving displaced families and children, including housing security for Unaccompanied Refugee Minors; public school integration for Unaccompanied Children; and resettlement and family economic self-sufficiency for Refugee Families. Inspired by his work with displaced populations, Elijah informs system-level change that impacts the health and wellness of refugee communities in Michigan. He studied at Kalamazoo College where he earned his BA in International and Area Studies, including extensive foreign language study in French, Spanish, and Arabic. He completed his undergraduate thesis in French on the topic of language access for asylum seekers in the United States.
