MDDHS provided an FAQ to explain changes to Medicaid and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) policy in Michigan, timeline for changes, and families who will be affected by these changes. The Kalamazoo Refugee Resource Collaborative translated this brochure into 26 common newcomer languages. The Office of Global Michigan (OGM) released a detailed guide in July of 2026 explaining the implications of these changes for non-citizens. MDHHS released a family-facing Non-Citizen Awareness Letter that the Immigrant and Refugee Resource Collaborative translated into 30 common newcomer languages. Help us spread awareness and support newcomer families in navigating these changes.
