Refugee Systems of Care Specialist

Stormie Drake (she/her) is the Refugee Systems of Care Project Specialist at the Center for Quality Family Support (CQFS) at MPHI. She brings more than 17 years of experience in education and nonprofit leadership, with a background spanning program management, home visiting, and organizational leadership. Her previous roles include Program Director for early childhood initiatives, Parent Liaison and Home Visitor with Early Head Start, and Executive Director of a nonprofit focused on English as a Second Language education. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and English Language Arts from Eastern Michigan University and a Master of Science in Administration in Nonprofit Organizations from Central Michigan University. In 2023, she was recognized as a top finalist for the Brilliance Emerging Leader Award by West Michigan Woman. Stormie is committed to strengthening systems and expanding access to supportive services for newcomer families.
